I haven’t released anything in an abnormally long span of time, so I just wanted to check in, in case I actually have fans who are wondering what’s going on.

I haven’t been making pixel studies or live streaming any game development lately because I’ve been busy with school, social life, and also with the application and hiring process for a new part-time job. I’m now a research assistant at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center, so I’m going to have to devote quite a bit of effort to learning the ropes and deciding how much time I want to spend on this job every week. It’s a really exciting position, but I’m afraid that with everything else in my life it means I won’t have regular time for game development or pixel art practice.

This means that for the time being, I won’t be running my regular gamedev live stream, or releasing pixel studies. These things are priorities, but they’ll just have to remain on hold until I get back into the swing of things. I hope I’ll be able to restart them in a matter of months, but we’ll see.

However I also want to announce that I’ll be doing Ludum Dare next weekend with a partner, William Guss. The two of us plan to program together in the same house all weekend, and to broadcast two separate live streams on twitch.tv so viewers can see both sides of our collaboration. It should be really cool, and we hope to make something awesome for you to enjoy.
